8 Couples Netted During Dorm Raid

As many as 8 couples without marital status were netted during dorm raid in 6 sub-districts held by North Jakarta Administration, Saturday (4/25).

The raid is held simultaneously. It also relates to population operation regarding identity occupants

Besides that, the officer also found one dorm used as an hotel with daily rental cost in shopping complex, Jalan Kramat Jaya, Koja. Whereas, the place does not have any hotel operational license. 

Head of North Jakarta Satpol PP, Iyan Sophian Hadi said the raid involved joint personnel of North Jakarta Administration and army/police. "The raid is held simultaneously. It also relates to population operation regarding identity occupants," he expressed, Saturday (4/25).

"We did sweeping against 140 rooms. The dorm is categorized as an hotel and will be closed down temporarily due to its owner does not have permit," he continued.

Head of North Jakarta Housing and Governments Building Sub-Department, Chairul Latip added the dorm licensing that set in Gubernatorial Decree No. 2693/1987 on Guidelines for Jakarta Housing Setting in Jakarta. Regarding dorm cost, should be charged monthly.

"According to the rule, the daily rental cost is hotel or inn, instead of dorm," he explained.
